Projects
We're busy with several projects, transforming the property into our Garden of Eden
01
Buildings
We are modernising and renovating our house to create a liveable space. We replaced and installed floors, plumbing, rewired electricity, built and insulated the roof and there’s more to come, like building a mezzanine and plastering the remaining inside walls.

We also built guest accommodation, plus a compost toilet and outdoor gas-heated shower (for volunteers and guests).

In the future, we will convert the remaining buildings into communal spaces, including further guest accommodation. We are most excited about creating an outdoor kitchen and dining room for all guests.
02
Land
We have been planting lots and lots of trees, including nut and fruit trees, to create greater biodiversity and also, there’s just nothing better than taking a stroll and eating fresh fruit. We have also planted flowers, and created a vegetable and herb garden, which we eat from daily. It's incredibly satisfying eating something you nurtured, watered and grew over the months. How tomatoes taste is off the charts, you just can’t compare it to the plastic you find in modern supermarkets.

In the future, we will create an irrigation system to redistribute water on our land and create several ponds, which are inviting to frogs and insects, and will help prevent future fires.

We are learning about permaculture, soil regeneration, and composting methods as we go along--we are learning by doing (thanks YouTube), and welcome experienced visitors who can teach us more!
03
People
Our project would be nothing without people. That's why we enjoy working with volunteers!

Ways you can get involved:

-
Helping us build the structures needed to facilitate groups that host retreats, ceremonies, and workshops.
-
Visit! We are open 6 months a year to volunteers, and those seeking a sabbatical or personal retreat (such as writers, artists, travellers, or whoever needs time off/digita detox).
-
If you live nearby, let’s co-create, make walks, eat soup together, build community, etc.
